Humble Bundle’s Humble Choice program, a monthly subscription that lets people pick from a dozen games, has a few goodies in store this October. It’s got Tropico 6, Fae Tactics, the Sunless Bundle (Sunless Sea and Sunless Skies), Iron Danger, and many more.
Don’t forget, the restructuring means that you might get more games depending on the plan you’re on. As was the case in previous months, those who have the Premium and Classic plans (Classic is for those who were previously subscribed to Humble Monthly) could get all 12 games this October. So, what exactly are they?
Humble Choice October 2020: Tropico 6 and the Sunless Bundle
Those are the big names for October 2020’s Humble Choice. Tropico 6, which lets you build and expand your Carribean empire, even has the El Prez Edition on offer. This doesn’t really have a lot of meaningful DLCs. As you can see from the Steam store page, Tropico 6 – El Prez Edition just gives you the base game, the soundtrack, and some digital extras like a flamingo pond and a couple of tourist costumes.
Still, Tropico 6 might just give you lots of hours of enjoyment. Our own Steven Wong was “completely hooked” when he reviewed the game. Oh, and if ever you’re strapped for cash, you could always check our moneymaking guide.
As for the Sunless Bundle, this one has both Sunless Sea and Sunless Skies, two brilliant titles that are part adventure, part rogue-lite, and part interactive novel. I was able to review Sunless Skies and back in January 2019, and I found it quite mystifying and delightful. If you do pick it up, be sure to read some tips for beginners to help you survive.
Rounding out the list
In addition to the above, you’ve also got Fae Tactics, a tactical RPG with fantasy themes. PC Invasion’s Kevin Carignan tried it out, but he wasn’t too impressed. There’s also The Suicide of Rachel Foster which Andrew Farrell quite liked in his review. Then, there’s Iron Danger, a fun-filled romp which thoroughly amazed Martynas Klimas.
Other games in October 2020’s Humble Choice include Lightmatter, Shadows: Awakening, Autonauts, Fantasy Blacksmith, Goat of Duty, Basement, and The Uncertain: Last Quiet Day.
