In August of 2017, we saw the HTC Vive get a hefty price cut. The price dropped from $799 to a breezy $599. The start of 2018 has already shown that the company will continue developing its VR platform with the announcement of the HTC Vive Pro.

The video shows off some of the improvements, such as a new ergonomically friendly design and better quality audio. For many, it was only a matter of time before higher resolution optics became part of the picture. HTC isn’t necessarily abandoning the HTC Vive. A new wireless adapter was also announced, supporting both the HTC Vive and Vive Pro models.

There is no news as of yet when the headset will launch nor the price point. But, if it’s anything like its predecessor, you can expect a nice hit to your wallet to grab one.
