Step 1: Go to Settings

To turn off location services on your iPhone, the first thing to do is to open the “Settings” app on your iPhone.

Step 2: Click on Privacy

Scroll down to “Privacy” and click on it.

Step 3: Tap Location Services

Location Services is located at the top of the screen, above “Tracking”. If your location is currently turned on, you’ll see “on” in front of Location Services. Click on “Location Services” to proceed.

Step 4: Tap the Green Slider

This is where you’ll turn off location services. If you see the green slider, tap it and you’ll be prompted with a pop-up message that confirms your decision to turn off location services.

How to Turn off Location for Specific Apps on an iPhone

Apple allows users to turn off location services for specific apps on the iPhone. Here’s how to do it.

Step 1: Open Settings

To turn off location for specific apps on your iPhone, the first thing to do is to open the settings app on your iPhone. 

Step 2: Tap Privacy & Security

After opening “Settings”, the next thing to do is to tap “Privacy”. 

Step 3: Select Location Services

Click “Location Sevices” and scroll to the app you would like to turn off its location.

Step 4: Choose the Preferred Setting for the App

After selecting the app, you would see three options, “Never”, “While Using the App”, and “Ask Next Time or When I Share”. If you don’t want the App to ever have access to your location, select “Never”. 

In case you want an app to have access to your location only while using the app, select “While Using the App”. If you don’t want the app to have access to your location at all, select “Never”.
