Officially revealed back in November, Borderlands 3’s first story DLC, Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, is set to go live today, December 19. However, before fans are able to dive into the new content included in this highly-anticipated Borderlands 3 DLC, they will need to know exactly how to access it. Fortunately, doing so is a relatively straightforward process, and this guide looks to assist those players that are currently trying to determine how to start Moxxi’s Heist of the Handomse Jackpot.
To note, in order to start Borderlands 3’s Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot DLC, players will need to have access to Sanctuary. This is granted by advancing the Borderlands 3 story to Chapter 4, and anyone that has done so can begin the new BL3 DLC regardless of their level. This is due to the fact that the BL3 DLC scales based on a player’s level, and fans can thus tackle it before or after completing the main campaign.
How to Start Borderlands 3 DLC
Players that wish to start the BL3 Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot DLC should first navigate to Sanctuary and then visit Moxxi’s Bar. In front and to the left of the bar entrance, players will find a poster featuring Handsome Jack, and interacting with this poster is the way to begin the first Borderlands 3 DLC.
For some players, interacting with this poster will prompt them to purchase Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, and fans that receive this prompt should follow the process to make sure that they have purchased and downloaded the BL3 DLC. When that has been done, players should simply restart Borderlands 3 and interact with the poster again to begin Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot.
