In any efficient, well-run cult, there has to be a bit of sacrifice. Not just a few of your liberties, but of your followers. In Cult of the Lamb, you eventually earn the ability to sacrifice members of your dark and twisted cult. Don’t like a particular follower? Sacrifice them. Is someone causing problems in the cult? Sacrifice them. If you just like killing, pick a random member and sacrifice them. Don’t know how? Here’s how to sacrifice followers in Cult of the Lamb.
How to Sacrifice Followers in Cult of the Lamb
The ability to sacrifice followers in Cult of the Lamb is unlocked shortly after defeating the second mini-boss, Barbatos. You’ll come in contact with The One Who Waits and they will grant you the ability Sacrifice of the Flesh. Once you have that, follow these steps:
Now you can watch as your follower becomes a sacrificial lamb, so to speak. In return, you get to choose new upgrades, which is the perfect opportunity to pick up Bane Weapons early on. It adds poison damage to weapons; it’s very handy to have during Crusades.
- Go to your church and stand at the altar. When given the option, choose Rituals. Select Sacrifice of the Flesh. The ability costs x1 Follower and 75 Bones (without upgrades). With Cheaper Rituals Divine Inspiration unlocked, the cost is reduced to x1 Follower and 37 Bones. Choose a Follower to sacrifice. Who you choose depends on a few factors. For starters, you don’t want dissenters among your flock; they can influence other members. An older follower about to die will cause the cult to lose faith more than being sacrificed (-10 Faith from sacrifice, -20 from death). Alternatively, this can be an opportunity to pluck followers with bad traits, too.
