Minecraft is an amazing Sandbox game that brings the 2D Pixels aesthetic to a 3D game. Many players have made many amazing and beautiful things like SMPs, Gigantic Builds, RPG Realms, Redstone Machines, etc. In the 1.19 Update of the game, Mojang has introduced a new Tree type with a unique Wood Type. That Tree is the Mangrove Trees from the newly revamped Swamp Biome. Mangrove Trees work slightly differently from other trees in the form of planting & growing them. In this guide, I will show you how to Plant & Grow a Mangrove Tree in Minecraft.
How to Plant & Grow a Mangrove Tree in Minecraft
The new Mangrove Trees in Minecraft 1.19 are the main Trees that grow in the Swamp Biome. They are very common there and cannot be missed. Unlike other Trees, they have roots that grow from either side and extend downwards. On top of that, Mangrove Propagules grow from the Leaves of the Tree. This is the Seed or Sappling equivalent of the Mangrove Trees. All you have to do to plant the Propagule of a Mangrove Tree in Minecraft is to place it on a Dirt Block variant. Mangrove Propagules follow similar Growth & Planting rules as most Saplings in the game. So place one on the ground and wait till it grows.
You can wait till the Mangrove Propagule grows into a Tree or use Bonemeal to speed up the process. The Mangrove Propagule can also be placed in water and it will grow just the same. You can get more Propagules by harvesting them from Mangrove Trees or by breaking the Leaves of the Trees. Harvesting a ton of Mangrove Propagules is beneficial for Honey Farming as it is the preferred food of Bees.
