Experimental Weapons include some of the most powerful guns that you can get in Generation Zero. But the catch is these weapons are hard to come by. Not only do they have no fixed locations. Their drop chances are also low. But knowing which enemies to defeat can help you get your hands on them faster. So in this guide check out how to get Experimental weapons in Generation Zero.

How to Get Experimental Weapons in Generation Zero

You can get Experimental Weapons by beating Rivals, Reapers, and completing Base Defense missions. These 3 are the only ways you can get these weapons in the game. But there is one more condition you need to meet for it. Your character needs to be at least level 25 for you to be able to get them as a drop from these enemies. The higher the level the better. Remember these enemies have a chance to drop them. So just defeating them isn’t enough, you may have to grind a bit to get them.

  • Start by spawning in any region of your choice.
  • Now, run around looking for Rivals and eliminate any that you find. These are like mini-bosses and are harder to kill than regular enemies.
  • In case there are no Rivals in the region that you are in then you should start eliminating any enemies you come across. This should improve your chances of spawning them.
  • As you kill them their level also increases and the harder your Rivals the better chance they have at dropping Experimental Weapons.

Aside from Killing Rivals, you should also look for Reapers. These are the strongest enemies that the game has to offer, so they have the best chance of dropping experimental weapons.

Do remember Rivals won’t always drop weapons sometimes they can even drop items as well. Lastly, you can also do Home Base Defense missions repeatedly to get these weapons. Some of these Experimental Weapons include:

  • The Experimental .44 Magnus (Shrapnel Gun)
  • The Experimental KVM 89 (Thermal Machine Gun)
  • The Experimental Älgstudsare (Artillery Rifle)
