Amenities are equal to happiness in Civ 6. You will need approx one Amenity for every two people starting after three people. You do not need any Amenities if you have a population of three or fewer. After that, every two will add up to 1 Amenity. There are both positive and negative effects of Amenities on the population. I am going to explain this in more detail below. This guide will help you with how to get Amenities in Civ 6, as well what is their impact on the population.

How to Unlock New Amenities in Civ 6?

Amenities are of three types in Civ 6. They come from Luxuries, Entertainment, and some other sources. The easiest one is the first one, the Luxuries amenities. All you have to do is check your map for the luxury resources. Finding one will provide +1 Amenities for 4 cities. There are chances that you may also unlock a few special whiles during the exploration. Amenities are shared among the cities, so if you have a city that is displeased and others are happy, then amenities will be distributed to make things even. It is necessary to learn about the resources that can offer you max Amenities. I am going to share the list of Luxuries you must focus on in Civ 6.

There are different activities that will let you get Amenities in the game. I am going to share a list of things you must focus on. Also, the activities that can add more to your Amenities are Plantation, Mining, Quarry, Camps, and Fishing.

+4 Luxuries:

So just sell them off to empty your inventory space. Not all luxuries are available with every trader, some are reserved with a few ones. Mark their locations and visit them to sell duplicate luxuries. There are certain abilities that can ease the distribution of the Amenities among the cities. For example, the Aztec’s ability that can evenly distribute amenities among 6 to 8 cities. Luxuries that offer you +4 to +6 or higher are special ones. Focusing on them will save your time in unlocking more happiness in the city.
