Check System Requirements

- Processor: At least Intel Core i3-6100 / Core i5-2500K or AMD Ryzen 3 1200
- Memory: 8 GB RAM

Update Graphics Drivers
An outdated graphics driver can cause such crashing issues in MW2. So, make sure that your graphics drivers are updated with the latest drivers. You can head over to the official websites of Nvidia & AMD to download their drivers manually. Once you have installed the latest drivers, launch the game to check if the issues persist.
Scan & Repair Files
For the players using the Battle.net launcher, follow the below steps:
- Launch the Battle.net client.
- Hit the cogwheel-shaped icon next to the Play button.
- Then, select the Scan and repair option from the drop-down section.
- Lastly, hit the Begin Scan option.
For Steam players, follow the below steps:
- Launch the Steam client.
- Head over to the Library and right-click on the COD Modern Warfare II.
- Choose the Properties option and click on the Local Files option on the left pane.
- Then, select the Verify integrity of Game files option.
While this process is a bit time-consuming, it will re-download all of your corrupted or damaged game files.
