How To Delete Doordash Account Permanently

Canceling a subscription to DoorDash is simple, but different than completely deleting your data. When you want to remove your information from the company, you’ll need to take a few additional steps. We’ll walk you through that process and also tell you how to cancel DashPass, the company’s subscription-based service.

How to Delete a DoorDash Account Permanently

The first thing you need to know about deleting an account with DoorDash is that you can’t do it from within the app. It doesn’t matter whether you’re using Android or iOS because your account options are limited by the mobile app.

Step 1: Log in to DoorDash

Open up a web browser and go to the company’s official site, DoorDash. Click on the Sign In prompt at the top right-hand of the page. From here, enter your account details or log in to your DoorDash through Google, Facebook, or Apple.

Step 2: Access your Account

When you are logged in, look on the left side of the screen towards the top for three dashes. Click on those to open up a drop-down menu where you’ll see a section that says Account with your name. Click on that tab to continue.

Step 3: Manage Account

This is your profile page for DoorDash where you can change some information, link to Facebook, or change your password.

Next to those options, you’ll find one for Manage Account. Click this and you’ll be taken to a screen where you can request your account data or delete your DoorDash account. Click Delete to proceed.

Step 4: Delete DoorDash

After you’ve clicked Delete, you’ll see a pop-up appear asking for 2-step verification. You should receive a text message on your phone at the same time, which allows you to confirm your account.

Step 5: Confirm Selection

Once you’ve confirmed the 2FA code sent through text to your smartphone, you’ll see a new screen that tells you what happens when you delete your account. Click on Cancel to continue, and then click on Delete Account to permanently delete DoorDash.  

Once confirmed, you’ll see a message telling you that your account deletion is being processed.

How to Cancel DoorDash DashPass

One of the perks of using DoorDash is the company’s pass called the DashPass. If you want to keep your account active, but just want to cancel the DashPass subscription, you don’t have to delete your account permanently.

Step 1: Log into DoorDash

Go to DoorDash and click on the option that says Sign In.

Step 2: Account Settings

From the main screen, access your account settings by clicking on the three dashes on the left top of the screen.

Step 3: Manage DashPass

From the new menu, scroll until you see an option labeled Manage DashPass, and click on it to proceed.  

Step 4: End the subscription

You’re now given the option to end your subscription through DoorDash. Click on End Subscription if you want to cancel DashPass.

Step 5: Confirmation

Once you’ve clicked on End Subscription, you’ll see a screen similar to the one below, where you’re given the option to back out or proceed. Click on End Subscription to end your membership and receive an email confirmation of the cancelation.
