Zoom is handy for video calls. Everyone on the line can see their face in real-time. But there may be times when you want to keep your camera off. In cases like this, Zoom will only show your profile photo. So you’ll want to make sure it’s a professional image. If not, here’s how to change your Zoom profile picture.

Choosing A Zoom-Friendly Image

You can upload photographs on Zoom, like profile photos and backgrounds. However, they must only have a 1:1 aspect ratio (in other words, they need to be square). Also, they cannot be larger than 2 MB and be in PNG, JPG, or GIF format. So, keep these in mind before uploading a new photo!

Step 1: Log In

First, you’ll need to be logged in to Zoom to change your profile settings (including your photo). Once you log in, you’ll be in the main dashboard.

Step 2: Go to Profile

From here, you’ll want to navigate to your profile. You can find the profile option on the left-hand side of your screen.

Step 3: Hover Over the Existing Photo

Once you’re in your profile settings, you can change your photo. Hover your cursor over your profile picture until you see the pencil. Click that pencil, and replace the existing photo with a new one.

Step 4: Change Your Zoom Profile Picture

You can update your picture to be anything you want, including a bitmoji of yourself. Just ensure that you’re following the best practices we listed above.

Zoom supports specific types of images.

Step 5: Save Changes

Once you’ve changed the photo, you can click the blue ‘Save’ button and save the new photo. And there you have it, you’ve changed your Zoom profile picture!
