With the release of Splatoon 3, squids and kids alike can look forward to even more Splatfest events in the future. With that in mind, you’ll want to make sure that your region is set correctly so you’re participating in the right events. Here’s how to change your Splatfest region in Splatoon 3.

Changing Splatfest Region in Splatoon 3

When you first start up the game, you’ll be prompted to confirm your Splatfest region. The game will automatically connect to the internet and determine which region is best suited for you and ask you to confirm your selection.

If you want to change it, though, you can do so after finishing the tutorial. Play through the short tutorial section and participate in your first Turf War battle, and the terminal in the multiplayer lobby will become available to you.

Interact with the terminal by pressing the A button, then choose the Splatfest Region option. From here, choose the region that you want to be set to, and you’re good to go. Do note that there is a short cooldown period after changing your region, and you won’t be able to adjust it again until after the next Splatfest.

Setting your region correctly is important as it’ll determine which players you match up with. There are a total of four available regions, as listed below:

  • JapanThe Americas/Australia/New ZealandEuropeHong Kong/S. Korea
