It can be fun to just go through the entirety of Bayonetta 3 with the starter dual pistols, but with so many fun weapons to choose from, why would you want to do that? Here’s how to change and equip weapons in Bayonetta 3.

Changing Weapons in Bayonetta 3

Oddly enough, swapping between your equipped weapons in Bayonetta 3 isn’t really explained very well in the game. While playing as Bayonetta, you can have up to two weapons equipped at any point in time, and you can switch between them just by pressing the L button.

The switch is pretty much instantaneous, which can result in some fun combos as well, depending on your loadout.

How to Equip Weapons in Bayonetta 3

As you progress through the game, you’ll also start to collect a number of new and interesting weapons to play around with.

To equip them, bring up the menu with the – button while you’re in a level, then press L or R to tab over to your weapons tab. From here, select a weapon slot by pressing A, then select the weapon you want to equip in that slot.

As mentioned before, you have two available weapon slots, which means that you can switch between any two weapons in combat. As a rule of thumb, we recommend equipping one light and one heavy weapon just for some versatility.

That’s all you need to know about how to change and equip weapons in Bayonetta 3. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
