Nintendo online subscription services give you access to various perks and options. For example, with the base-level subscription, you can access NES and SNES game libraries. Nintendo Online+ Expansion pack gives you access to N64 and Sega Genisis game libraries.

If you have been using your Switch with an online account and you feel like you are not getting your money’s worth, you can always cancel your subscription. However, they do not call it canceling. Instead, you to turn off the automatic payment so that the next time a payment won’t go through. To cancel your Nintendo Online account, follow these six simple steps.

1. Go To Nintendo.com

2. Click On Your Profile

At the top right corner of the web page, click on your profile picture (or your Nintendo username). From this drop-down menu, select Account Settings.

3. Select Shop Menu

This will bring you to a new page. From this list, click on Shop Menu.

4. Nintendo Switch Online

After clicking on Shop Menu, a new tab will open in your browser. Here you will see your payment info scroll down to the bottom of the page and select Nintendo Switch Online.

5. Turn Off Automatic Renewal

Now you will be on a page that gives all your membership details like the expiration date, the deadline to turn off automatic renewal, and the amount due. To continue the process, select Turn Off Automatic Renewal.

6. Confirm Turning Off Automatic Renewal

Finally, you will have one more box that pops up, asking you to confirm your selection. To continue the process, select the red Turn Off option on the right-hand side.

Congratulations, you have turned off the automatic payment for Nintendo Online, effectively canceling your payment plan. However, you can renew this plan whenever you like by returning to where you were on step 5 and selecting an option that says Renew Plan.
