After years of waiting and a handful of delays, Ori and the Will of the Wisps has finally arrived. That means that Xbox One and PC gamers are able to reunite with the adorable spirit creature and find out what kind of heartbreak the sequel has in store for Ori and his found family.

It’s been no secret that Ori and the Will of the Wisps strives to build on what The Blind Forest established and expand the world with a bigger map and a longer campaign. The Metroidvania platformer will take different lengths of time to complete based on player skill and how much users get distracted by side quests, but we can still make a fair estimate about how long it should take to roll end credits.

The average Ori and the Will of the Wisps players working through the game on Normal difficulty should finish the title in about 12-14 hours. For our Game Rant review of Ori and the Will of the Wisps it actually took more like like 15 or 16 hours, but there was a fair amount of time spent completing optional side quests and exploring every nook of the massive world map.

Much like the first game, this title will also likely inspire speed runs and there is currently a Rare Achievement available for completing the game in under four hours. It’s a little tough to imagine how that’s even possible, but surely speedrunners are already making it happen now that they know all of the boss fights and how to get through obstacles like the purple rock walls.

There are plenty of other activities to complete in addition the the main story, so players should expect to spend a bit longer than that 12 hour estimate if they want to see all that the game has to offer.

Be sure to check back in the near future for more Ori and the Will of the Wisps strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, keep fighting for the light.
