Guerrilla Games has announced that Aloy’s latest adventure Horizon Forbidden West has gone gold, ahead of its launch next month.

Studio director Angie Smets made the announcement on the PlayStation Blog, declaring the status of the highly anticipated sequel. “I want to take this opportunity to congratulate everyone on the team for what we have achieved together and the community for their continued support and excitement as we’re preparing for launch”.

To mark the occasion, the team has decided to showcase some gameplay of the game running on PlayStation 4 Pro. While brief, we do get a glimpse of Aloy tussling with a Clamberjaw. Described as a dangerously agile enemy, they’ll provide a challenge for even our hero’s acrobatic skills. Unless you like getting a bit singed, best keep away from their fire-flinging tails.

Presumably then, Guerrilla will now be heads down with squishing any last-minute bugs or the like for the game’s first patch, while the rest of us eagerly await to get the game in our hands. It’s shaping up nicely, with recent trailers revealing the addition of new cast members such as The Matrix’s Carrie-Ann Moss.

Check out the PlayStation 4 Pro footage in the Tweet below. Horizon Forbidden West is now gold, and therefore should arrive as planned on February 18 on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
