Harry Potter prequel RPG Hogwarts Legacy has been delayed into next year, publisher Warner Bros has announced.
In a statement posted to the game’s official Twitter account, the publisher said “Creating the best possible experience for all of the Wizarding World and gaming fans is paramount to us, so we are giving the game the time it needs.”
The game was first formally announced following months of rumours back in September of last year, and will see players playing not as the famous wizard or his friends, but as an entirely new student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in a story that takes place in the 1800s.
Hogwarts Legacy is now scheduled for launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC in 2022.
