IO Interactive has revealed the first details on Hitman’s ‘Sapienza’ map, the second of three locations due to be included in the game at launch.

Set in a fictional town on the southern coast of Italy, Sapienza is described as an “expansive” location filled with “dark secrets and engaging stories”, and packed with opportunities for players to pick off their targets.

“From a luxurious mansion to the medieval church situated by the beach and the cramped alleys littered with stores, Sapienza is a dense location full of challenges and packed with opportunities and stories for the enterprising player to unfold,” Square Enix says.

Sapienza is the second map to be revealed following the game’s announcement earlier this year, with a third – set in Morocco – also expected to be shown prior to the game’s launch next March.

Three further locations – Thailand, the USA and Japan – will also be added to the game each month after launch.

The additional content will be available at no additional cost to players who purchase the full £44.99 game, or as an optional premium extra to those who purchase the Hitman Intro Pack. For more info on how it all works, head through here.

Hitman launches digitally on PS4, Xbox One and PC on March 11, 2016, with a retail release to follow at a later date.
