New weapons and disguises will be added to Hitman for free as the season progresses, IO Interactive has revealed.

In an update on the game’s website, IO revealed that the game’s “Live Content”, which begins as soon as the game launches on March 11, will include weekly Contracts created by the development team; monthly “promoted” Contracts created by the community; and new items “such as weapons and disguises”.

The Live Content will be available to all users who purchase the Intro Pack or the Full Experience, priced at £11.99 and £44.99 respectively.

IO has previously promised not to include any premium DLC or microtransactions in Hitman. That was before a couple of major changes were made to the game’s release model, however, which saw IO eventually opting for a more traditional episodic approach.

A closed beta for the game is due to launch on PS4 this Friday, February 12, before coming to PC next Friday, February 19. The full game, meanwhile, is due to release on PS4, Xbox One and PC on March 11.
